Houston Community College is proud to offer

HCC Mattress Mack School of Selling© training through the

Glenda and David Regenbaum Center for Entrepreneurship - HCC Northwest.

 

Houston Community College offers six three-hour onsite training sessions based on the Mattress Mack philosophy of sales practices in collaboration with Jim McIngvale. Chosen applicants must attend all six required sessions to graduate from the cohort.

This onsite cohort (at Gallery Furniture on North Freeway) is designed specifically for individuals wanting to start a career in sales or change jobs to pursue a new position as a sales person. This could be college students and adults of all ages from the greater Houston Community. Some graduates will be offered sales positions at Gallery Furniture and possibly other employers.

We will also save a limited amount of seats in the class for some chosen applicants who are entrepreners with proposed, startup or existing businesses.

Applicants who are selected for this program and graduate from it, will earn a Certificate of Completion from the HCC Mattress Mack School of Selling© to add to your achievements.

HCC MATTRESS MACK SCHOOL OF SELLING© Onsite Cohort Facts: 

Program Orientation and Training Sessions are held at

Gallery Furniture, 6006 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77076

  • Application-Based - This onsite program is application based. All interested applicants should apply between now and March 22, 2:00pm CST application deadline. We do encourage early applications.
  • Cohort Model - Once a class is selected and the training starts, the class will move through the program together with no other participants joining as the program progresses. All applicants selected must fully commit to attend the entire program and graduate with the class, no partial participation allowed.
  • Orientation - All applications will be reviewed and applicants chosen for the cohort will be required to attend a 4-evening mandatory GANAS Bootcamp orientation, March 28, 29, 30 and 31, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Gallery Furniture. The orientation will include Jim McIngvale addressing and welcoming all chosen applicants! 
  • Onsite Training Sessions  - All chosen applicants must also fully commit to attending ALL six onsite program training sessions and graduating with the cohort. 

 

FEES & CERTIFICATION:

  • Sponsored by Jim McIngvale, Gallery Furniture - Graduates participate for free - Note the HCC Mattress Mack School of Selling© is offered at NO COST TO PARTICIPANTS, thanks to the generosity of our Sponsor, Jim McIngvale and Gallery Furniture.
  • All Applications can now be Submitted at No Cost - Once applications are reviewed; those individuals selected for acceptance into the class will then be contacted. 
  • A note from our program partner, WorkTexas Training Center: Refundable Deposit Upon Graduation This program is free to all Graduates. However, all chosen applicants selected for participation in the class will be required to submit a $100 deposit before the class starts, which will be returned in full to the participant if/when the participant fulfills all program requirements, which include full attendance at the following onsite events at Gallery Furniture:
    • GANAS Bootcamp delivered by the WorkTexas Training Center. The GANAS Bootcamp orientation sessions are held March 28, 29, 30 and 31, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
    • HCC Mattress Mack School of Selling - Six training sessions delivered by Houston Community College on Wednesdays, April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
    • Deposits will not be returned to those who do not graduate from the class. Jim McIngvale and HCC are dedicated to offering the HCC Mattress Mack School of Selling© to the Greater Houston Community. This policy reflects Jim's philosophy that we give this program at no cost to those who fully participate in the opportunity.
