All local Student Government Association’s (SGA) are built to represent the student body of their respective colleges. The goal is simple: aim to make student life on campus more responsive to student’s needs. They are your voice! They sit on numerous committees in which the administration and various vendors consult with them to make this college more student-friendly. They are the liaison between our college administration and student body for student concerns. The SGA is responsible for managing the overall student experience. SGA’s contribute to the ideal student experience by assisting in producing/facilitating activities that create an environment of tradition, belonging, and learning. The SGA will be your liaison between College Administration and student needs/concerns.
All students of Houston Community College that pay into the Student Activity Fee are members of their respective Student Government Association’s. SGA openly admits all students of the Houston Community College to its membership and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, personal appearance, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, or on the basis of rights secured by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
