GRAPHIC DESIGN & AI-GENERATED ARTS

Students will learn techniques used in a variety of industries and create a portfolio piece that they can showcase. Topics include:

  • Concepts and techniques in the production of high-end advertisement art
  • Utilizing AI to composite images and add movement to concepts
  • Concepts used in game and simulation design
  • Industries that utilize and demand such skills, such as digital gaming, fashion design, fashion merchandising, filmmaking, interior design, and the music industry
  • Demonstrating the ability to select and apply industry-standard software in design
  • Designing and demonstrating the use of software and techniques in digital communication's practical applications
  • Developing and presenting a portfolio of work that demonstrates proficiency in skills for employment

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) & ROBOTICS: 

Students will learn coding and statistical methods used in implementing and utilizing AI-powered robotics and applications. They will support programs like the AWS Racer and race AI-powered vehicles. Topics include: 

  • Using code to join text in Scratch
  • Understanding that variables can be used to store user input
  • Using conditional selection to respond to user input in Scratch
  • Logic formation in the acquisition of information as it pertains to AI
  • Job opportunities in AI development
  • Utilizing additional robots/kits from Digital & Information Technology, such as AWS Deep Racer, NVIDIA, Jetson Nano, and Robotic Operating Systems

CYBERSECURITY

Students will take on real-world scenarios and operate virtually to learn how industry experts conduct their jobs. Topics include:

  • Cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Cyber hygiene
  • Phishing email analysis
  • Detecting web attacks
  • Windows incident response
  • Different job roles in cybersecurity
  • Hands-on red team vs. blue team exercises

CODING

Students will learn the fundamentals of coding and to program robots to perform various tasks. Topics include:

  • Learn to Code 1: Solving puzzles in a dynamic 3D puzzle world
  • Learn to Code 2: Building on fundamental knowledge of Swift
  • Learn to Code 3: Expanding coding skills
  • Swift programming language: commands, functions, for loops, variables, conditional code, types and initialization, functions with parameters, logical operators, while loops, arrays, and refactoring
  • Overview of Apple Swift ecosystem, including structure, development environment, and application publishing
  • Everyone Can Code applications on iOS/iPad
  • Knowledge of real-world applications of the Apple Swift programming language
