- Teaches and develops the method of energy cultivation that is within Chen Style Taijiquan.
- A sequence of 10 stationary movements that use and harmonizes mental focus, breath control and movement to absorb, circulate, expel and store energy.
- A series of exercises that prepare the limbs and joints for Chen Taijiquan practice while also introducing the mechanics of Taijiquan movement, considered the essence of the art.
- Teaches the 8 cores techniques of Taijiquan upon which all others are based. The first four methods are taught to beginners and the second 4 are taught at the intermediate level as they require solid foundation.
