IDEAS Academy is where IDEAStudio Members develop their creative mindset and skillset by participating in our free classes offered every semester. Start with tool trainings to learn the basics and gain access to the available hardware in the makerspace like 3D printers, laser cutters, and more. After that, go further with workshops that develop your innovation, design, and entrepreneurial skills to take your ideas from concept to creation!

New here? IDEAStudio is the makerspace at Houston Community College's West Houston Institute. We provide an open and supportive place where you can develop your creativity supported by digital tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines as well as traditional tools like drills, saws, and welders. IDEAStudio offers a free membership program to all HCC students and educators, as well as HCC's K12 and university partners.
