Houston Community College will be participating in the 149th Juneteenth Celebration Benefiting the Emancipation Park Conservancy (EPC). This celebration will take place 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., June 8, at Emancipation Park, 3018 Emancipation Ave., in Houston's Third Ward.
You are invited to experience the rich history and heritage of Emancipation Park and explore its thoughtful architecture and state-of the art recreational facilities by volunteering as an HCC representative. HCC will be there - in person - to assist with beautification efforts.
As the college begins its year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary, your participation in this important project demonstrates the HCC's continued commitment to being a valuable and trusted community partner. Your work will help the EPC fulfill its educational, historical, and community enhancement goals, and promote the unique legacy of this local, state, national, and international landmark.
Let’s work together to keep this park a beautiful and significant destination in the city of Houston.
