Houston City College Drama presents Tom Stoppard’s The Real Inspector Hound, a clever and delightfully absurd comedy that turns the classic murder mystery upside down. Two theatre critics arrive to review a country-house whodunit, but as they become increasingly absorbed in the action, the boundaries between the play they’re watching and the world around them begin to blur.
With mistaken identities, suspicious characters, theatrical clichés, unexpected twists, and plenty of witty humor, The Real Inspector Hound is a playful exploration of theatre, criticism, and the stories we create both onstage and off.
The mystery is onstage. The critics are watching. But who is really in control?

The Performing Arts Center is located on Lumpkin Road at HCC’s Spring Branch Campus.
To access the parking area, continue down Lumpkin Road and follow it to the surface parking lot at the back of campus. The Performing Arts Center is accessible from this parking area.
