2.7.23 - Your Strategic Plan - Building the Framework for Your Successful Business 

Strategic planning is critical for small businesses because it helps set clear objectives and goals, create realistic strategies for achieving those goals, and identify and prioritize the resources needed to be successful. Strategic planning helps small businesses stay focused on their mission and long-term goals and keeps them from getting sidetracked by short-term, unrelated goals. It also helps them to make decisions at the right time and avoid costly mistakes. Lastly, strategic planning can help small businesses to identify and capitalize on opportunities, remain competitive, and develop a sustainable competitive advantage.

2.14.23 - Business Growth Strategies

Join the MBDA Pandemic Recovery Center and Mr. John Whaley as he discusses ways to enhance the growth of your business. Learn about the different strategies and approaches you can take when developing your business.

2.16.23 - Lender Matchmaking Event

Lending institutions in the Houston District, including traditional lenders, credit unions, microlenders, and certified minority development institutions, will be on hand to meet with existing and start-up business owners to discuss funding for small businesses. Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch financing needs to multiple lenders in scheduled, one-on-one 15-minute sessions! Appointments are scheduled 1st come, 1st served.

2.18.23 - Putting Your Plans Into Action - Formulating Actionable Steps

Join the MBDA Pandemic Recovery Center and Business Trainer, Austin Tenette, for an in-person business planning session. A continuation of the Business Planning workshop, develop action items to accomplish goals and expand your business knowledge. 

Action plans in business are used to identify the tasks and steps needed to reach a desired goal. They are used to ensure that everyone involved in the project is on the same page and is aware of their responsibilities. Action plans also help provide structure and organization to the project and a timeline to track progress and hold people accountable. Ultimately, action plans help businesses reach their goals in a timely and organized manner.

As we wrap up the series, you have had ample opportunity to develop key business components and identify what will be required to succeed. This workshop will capture the key actions required of you and your organization to set yourself up for success.
