Workshop Topics:

Business Use of Your Home - We'll review the requirements you must have to qualify for a deduction: how to determine the business percentage of home use, the types of expenses you can and cannot deduct either in full or according to the percentage, how to determine the limits on deductions, and where to deduct the expenses on your return.

Hiring Employees versus Independent Contractors - We'll explore key distinctions between employees and contractors, detailing the correct classification, necessary tax filings, and your obligations under federal law. Learn about withholding requirements, reporting wages, and paying employment taxes, as well as how to avoid common misclassifications.

We will have time allotted for Q & A at the end.

Whether you're a first-time filer or a seasoned taxpayer, this workshop will help you manage your taxes more efficiently and with confidence!
