Eagle Spark invites the community to join us for a free, hands-on Video Storytelling Workshop at HCC's West Loop Campus.
Visit us Saturday September 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and experience some of the engaging activities featured in our Video Storytelling course and Eagle Spark workshops. Whether you want to capture a personal story, create content for social media, promote a cause, or explore a future in digital media, this interactive workshop will introduce you to the art of video storytelling. Participants will learn how to plan, film, and edit engaging videos while exploring the creative process behind visual storytelling.
During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Learn the fundamentals of visual storytelling and video production
- Explore camera techniques using iPads and other digital devices
- Create compelling stories through video, sound, and visual elements
- Develop skills in filming, editing, and sequencing video content
- Discover how videos are shared across websites, social media platforms, and digital channels
No prior experience is required, and all equipment will be provided. Whether you're interested in documenting community stories, creating content for school or work, expressing your creativity, or learning a new digital skill, this workshop provides a welcoming space to explore and create.
Eagle Spark combines creativity, technology, and storytelling to help learners build practical skills, confidence, and pathways to education and career opportunities. All Eagle Spark workshops and courses are free, and equipment is provided whenever needed.
