    Lead Pastor of The Word Church, Jamail Johnson, serves as an educator, a fearless leader, author, success coach and a pioneer for change within his community. His drive, vision, and devotion to helping others led him to create Increase M.E. (Momentum Effectively). As founder and CEO of this organization, Mr. Johnson mentors other pastors, leaders, and entrepreneurs by providing practical and motivational leadership strategies. Whether in church, classroom, or corporate settings, Jamail unselfishly shares his knowledge and spiritual wisdom as a guide to ensure the advancement of his pupils.

     

     

    Meeting the needs of marginalized communities, advocating for the transformation of education, and promoting social empowerment are merely a few of Jamail’s commitments he’s able to fulfill through being a liaison for organizations such as The Greater Houston Frontiers Club, Police and Clergy Alliance, Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston, 100 Black Men Of Metropolitan Houston, serving as Board Member on the Acres Homes Chamber of Commerce and One Body Networking, and most recently named the Executive Director of the African American Male Wellness Agency-Houston, a nonprofit organization committed to confronting the health disparities that plague African American Men and provide solutions to help close the health gap.

     

    Jamail studied Business Administration at Texas Southern University, holds a Bachelor of Theology from Pentefaith Biblical Institute, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Kingdom Training Circuit Institute. His features and accolades include receiving a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden, Congressional Commendation from Congresswoman Shelia Jackson-Lee, being honored by Mayor Sylvester Turner naming March 17th “Jamail Johnson Day” in the city of Houston, and one of the 2018 Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Texas, to name a few. His background also includes fifteen years of pastoral and community activism experience that allows him to be an effective multigenerational and multicultural voice for change.

     

     

    Jamail forever speaks of his admiration for his wife, Natasha, and their two sons, JayeLon & Adonis.

    Derek Holmes, administrative director, Contractor Diversity, Harris Health System is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Harris Health’s Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprise Program. Using quantitative and qualitative data, he focuses on inclusion and outreach efforts, creates and administers programs and initiatives to increase economic opportunities for M/WBEs.

     

    Prior to this role, Holmes served as the assistant director of Vendor Diversity for the Department of Economic Equity & Opportunity. In this role, he created the M/WBE program for Harris County. He also held multiple contract compliance roles at the City of Houston’s Office of Business Opportunity, where he notably helped author the 2021 OBO Policies and Procedures and created on-demand training videos for City departments and contractors.

     

    Holmes received his Bachelor of Science in Public Management from Florida A&M University and his MBA from Texas Southern University. He has also earned multiple certifications at the Wharton School of Business and Morgan State University. He enjoys mentoring, volunteering in the community, and he has served on several boards and nonprofit committees.

    Kiley Summers is an entrepreneur and champion for equity and inclusion for black and brown founders.  He, himself, is the Founder of SpenDebt, a financial technology company whose mission is to save one million people from financial fatalities every time they swipe their debit card or have a banking transaction.  Kiley and his wife became debt free paying off over $140K+ of consumer debt.  They quickly noticed the growing problem of consumer debt and was encouraged to help others become financially healthy through behavior economics. 

     

    While bootstrapping and raising over $450k+ from many pitch competitions, few accelerator investments, and non-dilutive grants, they earned Capital One as their payment processor and launched SpenDebt’s app in 2018.  They have helped consumers pay off credit cards, student loans, auto loans, medical debt and the like, averaging nearly $75 per month per customer.  Additionally, SpenDebt has recently extended their micropayment solution to help businesses recover accounts receivables as a new payment option.  

     

    Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Kiley worked nearly a decade as an Operations Manager, Maintenance Engineer, and Business Unit Leader for PepsiCo-Frito Lay leading people, processes, and technology.  Also, he led a successful $62 million facility startup of an automated warehouse, 4th in PepsiCo history.   

     

    Kiley is a man of faith, husband, and a girl dad of two.  He has an electrical engineering degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology

    Warren Broadnax is a serial entrepreneur; the CEO of She’s Happy Hair Inc., Happy Me Tee LLC, The She’s Happy Foundation and Warren B. Inspires. Warren is a native Houstonian who graduated from Willowridge High School. Upon graduating he immediately enlisted in the United States Navy, where he dedicated four years as a Sonar Technician.
    While serving as a firefighter, Broadnax took his career to the next level in 2012. At that time, he embarked on a journey to become an entrepreneur with his business partner. The pair invested $900 and began selling quality virgin hair out of the trunk of their cars. From this concept She’s Happy Hair was birthed. With much determination the venture expanded to include; seven thriving stores located throughout the United States. With three locations in Houston, two in Dallas, one in Detroit and the newest location in Atlanta; She’s Happy Hair has become one of the nation’s leading virgin hair suppliers. The company has successfully secured an agreement with Walmart - a monumental feat for the first time in the company’s history. The company launched its line of signature hair care products for African-Americans.
    In 2015, shortly after She’s Happy Hair skyrocketed to the top, Broadnax started a new company: Happy Me Tee LLC (HMT). HMT was founded by Broadnax and his wife, Britne Broadnax.
    Broadnax has also made presentations to many professional groups, high school students and the Keynote Speaker for multiple universities.

    He was named DMARS Top 50 Entrepreneurs. The company has also received The GHBC Pinnacle Award; which is a prestigious award that honors black-owned businesses, Houston Business Journal 40 under 40 Award, and the HMSDC Emerging 10 Award. She’s Happy Hair was also listed as the number 1 Veteran Black Owned Business in Houston.

    Warren is currently on the board with The Imani School and 8 Million Stories. He serves on University of Houston Downtown Small Business Development Center Advisory Board.

    He continues to advance himself by attending seminars, workshops and business development courses; such as Goldman Sachs, Houston Black Leadership Institute and American Leadership Forum.

    In 2017, The She’s Happy Foundation was developed and as Executive Director of the organization he is committed to teaching young people about entrepreneurship, money management and social responsibility.
