Houston Community College’s Digital and Information Technology Center of Excellence invites you to join us for an informative and inspiring discussion with some of Houston's greatest minds about the latest advancement in AI and the abundant academic and professional opportunities in this field. Spearheaded by the HCC Computer Science Association, the two-day conference gathers luminaries from Houston companies that thrive on the infusion of AI in their daily operations.
The Gulf Coast Annual Conference on Artificial Intelligence aims to explore the technological advances and innovation brought by AI. The discussion will also center on how academia and the industry can partner to build a local talent pipeline for responsible AI development for the prosperity of our region. With HCC being the first community college in Texas to offer an associate degree in Artificial Intelligence and planning to launch its bachelor’s degree in AI & Robotics in fall 2023, the AI/Computing field in Houston is poised to flourish for a broad range of local industries.
The rapid surge of big data and the demand for AI across industries have created massive career opportunities in the field for our community. The conference will allow high school students, undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and prospective employees to converge to learn, network and gain insight into the endless creations and career possibilities that the AI space has raised.
The first day will feature an academic focus for all walks of life and the second day will feature an industry focus for industry professionals and target graduates, postgraduates, and anyone seeking employment in AI.
